PCA a number of Branches operating throughout NSW and the ACT. Attendance at these meetings is a cost effective way for members of the Association to receive group supervision and ongoing professional development points recognised by the Australian Counselling Association Inc.
Each branch meeting is either run monthly or bi-monthly, by professional counsellors who are members of the PCA and ACA.
With most OPD courses costing over $200 a day and supervision costing $100 hr or more, you stand to save over $300 for each branch meeting you attend, and remember you can attend as many different branches as you wish.
*Counsellors must supply a copy of current professional indemnity and public liability insurance to be listed on the website.
The PCA represents members of six regional areas. The PCA welcomes guests to attend a branch meeting.
Non ACA/PCA members may attend for a fee of $20 per presentation however no cards or paperwork may be signed by the Supervisor and no OPD will be credited.
A certificate of attendance for presentation may be provided upon request with the Convenor of the relevant branch. NON PCA members are welcome to attend the presentation component of the branch meeting but unfortunately may not participate in group supervision. Supervision is for members of the PCA only.
ACA members are welcome to attend one PCA meeting as a GUEST to observe what the PCA offers to members, the ACA members must join the PCA to continue attending future meetings of the PCA. As ACA members are attending a PCA meeting as a guest, ACA or other association cards are not able to be signed for OPD or Supervision, as your invitation is to observe only, not for participation.
Students may attend free of charge. Students must also be student members of the ACA.
Note – As a guest students will not be entitled to have your ACA or other association card signed as your invitation is to observe only, not for participation.
Are you and your local counselling colleagues interested in the PCA setting up a branch in your area. The PCA board members are enthusiastic to support more branches throughout the state and territory to assist counsellors with OPD and clinical supervision, and to nurture networking and mutual support. A representative from new branches will be invited to join the PCA board to ensure your voice will be heard.
