Guest Speaker Christine Wilde

Christine is a qualified somatic psychotherapist and counsellor working in Canberra for the last three years. Through her holistic approach in working with mind, body, and emotions aims to help her clients feel more embodied and more connected to their inner lives. Resilience grows, as do boundaries and self-esteem, leading to insight and the ability to make choices that are more healthy.

Personal Experience:
Christine has been interested in personal growth and development for over 20 years and is curious about how and why we become the unique individuals we each are. Through her own psychotherapy she has gained a deeper understanding of herself and others.  The benefits and changes she has experienced personally have helped helped her to become a more compassionate, understanding and patient person.

Diploma of Contemporary Somatic Psychotherapy, 2012
Certificate of Contemporary Somatic Psychotherapy, 2010

Christine's presentation will include discussion about the meaning of embodiment, how to help clients feel more connected to their inner experience, and several simple, experiential exercises to support this aim. Please wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes.

Everyone is welcome to stay after the meeting to network with other counsellors. Light refreshments are provided.
