Presentation

CAROLINE O’SHANNASSY

TOPIC:  GRIEF AND LOSS

This presentation will explore the following:

  • ·         Situations not normally considered as losses in people’s lives
  • ·         The extensive range of experiences a person can have when grieving
  • ·         How some people become stuck in their grief and its potentially destructive effects on their lives and relationships
  • ·         How grief & loss affect children (who are often the ones who are left to cope alone when there is death/divorce or separation of a significant other.)
  • ·         The possibility of some of our clients having mental health issues that could have their roots in an unrevealed and unacknowledged grief and loss situation

This session will be part input and part group work relying on a collaborative approach of the combined wisdom and experiences of the group.
