Ongoing Professional Development (OPD)

& Supervision Points

As a Member Association of the Australian Counselling Association the Professional Counselling Association will allocate to each member at the conclusion of any branch meeting Points towards their yearly tally of Ongoing Professional Development.

As per the Australian Counselling Association review in February 2018 of OPD point structure the PCA will allocate 3 points per presentation attended by a PCA member.

Points are no longer allocated for the Branch meeting alone.

We advise points are allocated to a non-PCA member for their initial attendance at a branch meeting and subsequently the participant would need to register as a PCA Member to gain further allocation of OPD points.

Points for Supervision are also allocated to a PCA Member upon attending a Branch Supervision session as per time attended. i.e 1 hour session = 1 hour point in log book.

The PCA advise Supervision points are allocated to PCA Members ONLY.

Attached is document from the ACA noting Point System for your information:

Please remember to take your ACA Log Book to each meeting for the ACA Approved Supervisor of that Branch to sign  at the conclusion of the meeting.
